3/1 Any More Cabinet Ministers To Go After IDS Quits
After Iain Duncan Smith resigned, bookmakers William Hill offer 3/1 that one or more current Cabinet Ministers will also quit before the EU Referendum takes place.
William Hill have also lengthened their odds for George Osborne to be the next Tory leader from 3/1 to 7/2, and shortened their odds for him to cease to be Chancellor during 2016 from 6/1 to 5/1.
'Osborne's Budget has not been well received and his chances of becoming the next leader seem to be receding as he goes from controversy to controversy' said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.'Iain Duncan Smith's decision to quit may have been linked to his support for the Brexit campaign.'
William Hill have cut Boris Johnson from 2/1 to 15/8 favourite to be next Tory leader, with Osborne 7/2; Michael Gove 7/1; Sajid Javid 8/1; Iain Duncan Smith 50/1.
Next General Election: Evens Tory majority; 11/8 Hung Parli; 9/2 Lab majority.
EU Referendum Result: 2/5 LEAVE; 15/8 BREXIT
