Gambling is a fun and popular pastime, ingrained in many cultures.
Every year, around 70% of the adult population in markets such as the UK take part in gambling activities.
We have embedded three important principles in our operating policies and procedures:
- Preventing gambling from being a source of crime or disorder, being associated with crime or disorder, or being used to support crime;
- Ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way; and
- Protecting children and other vulnerable persons from being harmed or exploited by gambling.
These underpin the overarching objectives of William Hill's Corporate Responsibility Committee. They are at the heart of our UK business and are the principles we adopt across our international operations as well.
The Group’s Corporate Responsibility activities are framed by the William Hill Commitment. This outlines how we behave towards our colleagues, our customers and members of the communities in which we operate.
