You Bet Next Labour Leader Will Be First Female Leader – Ed Davy Odds On For Lib Dems

As the dust settles on what has been a very bad night for Labour, the focus has already switched onto who will be elected as the new leader of the party. William Hill have Keir Starmer as their 7/4 favourite but the next five in the betting are all female candidates. The biggest mover of the day has been Jess Phillips who is 7/1 from 12/1 with Rebecca Long-Bailey also proving popular at 5/2.

“We have seen hundreds of bets on the next Labour leader market and have slashed the price of Jess Phillips from 12/1 to 7/1,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams. “Rebecca Long-Bailey has also been popular and was the subject of the first three figure bet.”

Ed Davy has been installed as the 4/6 favourite to replace Jo Swinson as the next leader of the Liberal Democrats, with Layla Moran offered at 7/2. “We believe that Ed Davy is the frontrunner to take over from Jo Swinson,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
