Punters Bet Big On Beto To Dem-olish Republicans

Following the Midterm results, William Hill can report one major change in the betting for the 2020 Presidential Election.

Beto O’Rourke, the defeated Democratic candidate in Texas, has seen his odds of winning the 2020 Presidential Election collapse, from 16/1 to 5/1.

As a result, Donald Trump’s odds have drifted slightly to 6/4 from 11/8 however, he remains favourite.

“Beto O’Rourke was a Lone Star in his attempt to take Texas, however, the fact that Ted did anything but Cruz to victory in a largely blue state suggests the Democrat’s latest poster boy is a genuine contender for the White House,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “We have seen a number of bets this morning on him ousting the incumbent President in 2020.”

2020 Presidential Election: 6/4 Donald Trump; 5/1 Beto O’Rourke; 9/1 Kamala Harris; 12/1 Bernie Sanders; 12/1 Elizabeth Warren; 14/1 Nikki Haley; 16/1 Joe Biden; 16/1 Mike Pence; 22/1 BAR

Democrat Presidential nominee: 5/2 Beto O’Rourke; 9/2 Kamala Harris; 6/1 Bernie Sanders; 6/1 Elizabeth Warren; 7/1 Joe Biden; 14/1 Cory Brooker; 14/1 BAR
