You Bet - La La Land Lives Up To Oscar Hype

William Hill now expect La La Land will win at least three of the four major Oscars this year with Best Director a near certainty at 1/6 with Best Picture just behind at 2/7. For the first time since betting opened Emma Stone has gone favourite to win the Best Actress (6/5), ahead of Natalie Portman (5/4). But it is Casey Affleck (2/7) & Denzel Washington (4/1) that stand in the way of Ryan Gosling (7/1) making it a clean sweep of the big four for La La Land.

“We were expecting great things for La La Land at the Globes but even we had not predicted seven wins,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams. “It looks like the other nominees for both the Best Picture and Best Director might as well not bother going to the Oscars this year.”
