William Hill Fear 'Blak Saturday’

William Hill fear it could be ‘Blak Saturday’ this weekend, with a succession of favourites led by Blaklion in danger of dashing the bookies.

Both Yanworth (4-5) and Cue Card (2-5) are the best-backed in the Kingwell Hurdle and Ascot Chase respectively, but it is the presence of Blaklion which could turn it in to a terrible treble for William Hill.

“If Blaklion wins that would be bad enough, but throw in what many see as bankers in Yanworth and Cue Card, and it spells trouble for bookies,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Blaklion has been strong for the Grand National Trial at Haydock all week, backed at all odds down from 10-1 to 4-1 with William Hill.

2.45 Wincanton Kingwell Hurdle: 4-5 Yanworth, 11-4 Sceau Royal, 6-1 Ch’Tibello, 9-1 Irving, 20-1 Rayvin Black, 25-1 Melodic Rendezvous, 100-1 Seven Nation Army, (EW ¼ Odds Places 1,2)

3.15 Haydock Grand National Trial: 4-1 Blaklion, 6-1 Kruzhlinin, Vieux Lion Rouge, 7-1 Vintage Clouds, 8-1 Goodtoknow, 11-1 Gas Line Boy, 12-1 Houblon Des Obeaux, Tour Des Champs, Wakanda, 14-1 Cresswell Breeze, Vicente, 20-1 Warrantor, 40-1 Aqalim, (EW ¼ Odds Places 1,2,3)

3.35 Ascot Chase: 2-5 Cue Card, 7-1 Taquin Du Seuil, 8-1 Royal Regatta, 14-1 Irish Cavalier, Traffic Fluide, 16-1 Shantou Flyer, (EW ¼ Odds Places 1,2,3)
