William Hill Braced For Super Bowl Music Meltdown

William Hill Braced For Super Bowl Music Meltdown

Bookie giants William Hill are braced for a series of Super Bowl specials this weekend.

Last year William Hill, one of the world’s biggest sports bookmakers, got smashed by Coldplay’s halftime song alone, losing £31,000 ($40,000) on what song they would sing first. This year, William Hill are wary they could be hit by halftime bets on the first song and are waiting until the last possible moment to price it up.

“We were badly hit last year by some shrewd people, who clearly had a good idea what song would be sung first and we’re keeping our ‘Poker Face’ on this year,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

William Hill expect the National Anthem (to be sung by Luke Bryan) to last around 127.5 seconds, with the over/under at 10/11.

Orange and Yellow are 3/1 joint favourites to be the Gatorade Bath Colour (traditionally tipped over the winning coach).
