After winning in his last World Matchplay tournament on Sunday night, it would seem that Phil Taylor still has a bit of gas left in the tank and he is 6/1 to reverse his retirement decision and play not just the 2018 William Hill World Championships but also the 2019 tournament as well.

Title sponsors, William Hill, make Taylor 9/1 fourth favourite to win his 15th World Championship title.

“With this being Phil Taylor’s last year, every time he wins a title, there is going to be a clamour for him to put off his retirement and should he lift the famous World Championship trophy this year, he could well delay his retirement decision,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
