Tizzard Shortens For Championship

Colin Tizzard is now 3-1 from 10-3 for the National Hunt Trainers’ Championship after another successful Saturday, which saw an impressive winning performance from Finian’s Oscar in the Tolworth Hurdle.

Tizzard started the season as a 25-1 chance for the title, but his odds have tumbled as his yard continue to fire in the winners. Paul Nicholls remains favourite at 2-11, however Willie Mullins is out to 25-1 from 20-1 and Nicky Henderson 40-1 from 33-1.

“Paul Nicholls is looking in his rear view mirror and Colin Tizzard is right on his bumper. It’s a straight race to the finish line and there will be plenty of people backing Tizzard to take the chequered flag,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
