Super Thursday: Has Jamie Oliver Cooked Up Another Bestseller?


The countdown to Christmas began in earnest on Thursday with the release of over 500 books all battling to be the festive bestseller and William Hill make Jamie Oliver at 3/1 the slight favourite, ahead of David Walliams at 7/2. The Guinness Book of World Records rounds off the top three in the betting.


“Usually, Jamie Oliver finds himself way out ahead at the top of the betting, however, he has competition from David Walliams, Mary Berry, Harry Potter and Philip Pullman which means his victory isn’t as straightforward as it often is,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
