Rooney To “Down” Spurs…De Boer On The Brink…Wenger Under Pressure

While his former England teammates were on international duty, Wayne Rooney was in the papers for all the wrong reasons but he can leave his frustrations behind as his Everton side face Spurs this weekend. All eyes will no doubt be on Rooney and he is 9/5 to score during the match and 11/2 to net the first goal of the game.

“Rooney will be the focus of much of the pre and post-match discussion and we have already had requests coming in via social media for him to celebrate a goal by pretending to down a pint,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “While we would not offer a price, we reckon it would be around 33/1.”

Frank de Boer is the 1/2 favourite to be the first manager to lose his job this season, ahead of Slaven Bilic and it is rumoured that a win for Burnley against the Eagles (for which they are 11/8) could see the Dutchman gone.

Another manager who is already under pressure is Arsene Wenger who is 2/1 to no longer be manager of Arsenal for the final game of this season and 11/8 to fail to see out the two year deal that he signed during the summer.

Next Premier League manager to leave: 1/2 Frank de Boer; 2/1 Slaven Bilic; 7/2 Rafa Benitez; 14/1 Arsene Wenger; 20/1 Antonio Conte; 33/1 BAR
