Ronaldo Leads Ballon d’Or Betting Despite Real’s Bernabeu Bashing

Despite Lionel Messi’s matchwinning turn in El Clasico, it is Cristiano Ronaldo who heads the betting for the Ballon d’Or according to William Hill.

The Real Madrid striker is 5/4 ahead of Lionel Messi at 7/4. Neymar is 10/1 and Suarez is 12/1.

“Ronaldo is the lone Real Madrid man at the top of the betting being chased by a trio of Barca players and the result at the Bernabeu on Sunday night will have weakened his grip on the Ballon d’Or however, we think he still just has the edge in the race to be the best this year,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
