Punters Predicting Champions League Upset In Leicester

If Barcelona’s comeback against PSG was the story of last week’s Champions League, it could be another upset this week that hogs the headlines if William Hill’s punters are to be believed. 87.6% of all wagers on the qualify market since the end of the first leg are for the Foxes to overturn their one goal deficit and qualify at 11/4.

Interestingly, the biggest wager on the qualify market so far is from a Spanish customer who has placed €600 at 11/4 which will return €2250.

“There has been a marked upturn in Leicester’s form since Craig Shakespeare took up the reins and following a break this weekend, they will go into this game refreshed and there are certainly a number of punters who think that they can do it,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

After they shared eight goals three weeks ago, Manchester City and Monaco are being tipped to feature in another ding dong battle. It is 11/8 that match sees the most goals of this week’s Champions League matches.
