PM Set To Stick To 2019 EU Withdrawal

With Theresa May having been the recipient of a letter from 30 hardline Brexiteers demanding the withdrawal from the EU by March 2019, William Hill bookmakers are offering odds of 4/6 that is the year the UK leaves.

It is 5/4 that the withdrawal is completed in 2020 or later and 12/1 that the UK leaves the EU by the end of next year.

“The odds suggest the 2019 timeline will be adhered to but what we cannot bet on is how hard or soft the withdrawal will be so there is plenty of work ahead for the Prime Minister,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

The Prime Minister will be unable to keep everyone happy, however, with pro-EU Tory members warning against a hard Brexit and there could be a mutiny on the horizon. With that in mind, Mrs May is 3/1 to have left her position as Prime Minister before Christmas day of this year.

In which year will the UK leave the EU: 12/1 2018 or earlier; 4/6 2019; 5/4 2020 or later

3/1          Theresa May to leave her role as Prime Minister by 25th December 25th 2017

When will Theresa May leave office as PM: 7/2 2017; 5/2 2018; 2/1 2019; 9/1 2020; 14/1 2021; 5/1 2022 or later
