Phoebe Waller-Bridge Still Runner For Doctor Who As Punters Continue To Back Her

Phoebe Waller-Bridge has come out and said that she is not going to be the next Doctor Who, at least as far as she is aware, yet that has not stopped punters backing her to get the gig with William Hill. Despite the odds of her bagging the role drifting considerably since she was 4/6, she has been one of the most popular selections and is still attracting wagers at odds of 7/2.

Kris Marshall is the 1/6 favourite for the job and it looks as though it is a “one-sided two-horse race” with all other runners 20/1 or bigger.

“Kris Marshall is the red hot favourite, however, his odds have drifted from 1/10 to 1/6 while Phoebe Waller-Bridge remains the main challenger for the role,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Next permanent Doctor Who: 1/6 Kris Marshall; 7/2 Phoebe Waller-Bridge; 20/1 David Harewood; 20/1 Michaela Coel; 20/1 Richard Rankin; 20/1 Tilda Swinton; 25/1 Kayvan Novak; 25/1 Maxine Peake; 25/1 Olivia Colman; 33/1 BAR
