Odds Cut On Henry Taking Over From Wenger

It is being suggested that Belgium number two, Thierry Henry could be being lined up for the Arsenal job when Arsene Wenger leaves the club and he is 20/1 (cut from 33/1 on Monday) to do so. He remains quite some way behind the front-runners in the betting with Thomas Tuchel the 2/1 favourite ahead of Massimiliano Allegri at 4/1.

Wenger is odds on to STAY at Arsenal past this summer with Hills making him 1/2 to extend his contract – 6/4 to leave.

“It looks likely that Wenger will be staying at Arsenal past this summer, so any discussion about his successor almost seems like a moot point at this moment, however, we have seen a move for Henry to take over when the job does eventually become available and time would perhaps suit him as he takes his first steps into management,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Will Arsene Wenger be manager of Arsenal on the first day of the 2017/18 season: 1/2 yes; 6/4 no

Next permanent Arsenal manager: 2/1 Thomas Tuchel; 4/1 Massimiliano Allegri; 10/1 Eddie Howe; 10/1 Luis Enrique; 12/1 Patrick Vieira; 14/1 Brendan Rodgers; 14/1 Joachim Low; 16/1 Leonardo Jardim; 16/1 Rafael Benitez; 20/1 Diego Simeone; 20/1 Jorge Sampaoli; 20/1 Ralph Hasenhuttl ;20/1 Remi Garde; 20/1 Ronald Koeman; 20/1 Thierry Henry; 25/1 BAR
