National TV Awards: Ant & Dec To Win Again – But Will Bake Off Win Anything?

Ant & Dec, meanwhile, look set to maintain their stunning 15-year stranglehold on the best TV presenter category, with the duo currently 1/12 lock-ins for the award. Mel & Sue, who were touted as potential rivals at the outset, have fallen behind at 9/1, while Rylan Clark-Neal, presenter on The Xtra Factor, a distant 14/1

Ant & Dec to continue their winning streak at the expense of Mel & Sue Despite many early punters anticipating a sweeping victory for The Great British Bake Off in the Best Challenge Show category, it is in fact the long-standing I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here that has been slashed from 6/1 into 2/7 clear favourite. The baking show sits behind at 5/2, with other contenders, such as The Apprentice way off at 16/1 or worse.

The final shock of the NTAs looks likely to be in the Best TV Judge category. Many initially suspected that nostalgia would play a pivotal role in deciding the victor of the category, with two early favourites, Len Goodman and Mary Berry, both having left their respective shows. Out in front though is surprise 6/4 favourite David Walliams for his work on Britain’s Got Talent, with Goodman also 6/4 and Berry trailing the pair at 5/2.

“Ant & Dec remain the bankers – but The Best TV Judge looks the best market for year and any of the top three could win the award,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
