McCluskey Gives Corbyn 15 Months

WITH UNITE union boss Len McCluskey saying he will give Jeremy Corbyn another fifteen months to prove himself as Labour leader, William Hill are betting on when Corbyn will cease to occupy his current role, and make him odds on at 4/5 to depart from it THIS year.

Hills also offer 7/2 that he will go during 2018; 10/1 that he does so in 2019; 7/2 in 2020 and 16/1 that he survives as leader until at least 2021.

However, Hills currently make Labour 7/1 to win the next General Election with an overall majority - the longest odds they have quoted about that scenario during the current decade. The Conservatives are 4/7 to win the next Election with another overall majority while a Hung Parliament is quoted at 15/8. 'However long Mr Corbyn remains leader of Labour there are few political punters prepared to back his Party to win the next General Election' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
