General Election – £70,000 Bet On Conservatives But Odds Of No Overall Majority Cut

Despite a £70,000 bet on a Conservative majority earlier today, William Hill have actually cut no Overall Majority from 9/1 to 8/1 and it is now 1/10 (from 1/16) that a Conservative Majority will be the result of the General Election.

“Today has seen a real anomaly in the betting where a £70,000 bet on a Conservative Majority has been swamped by a flood of small bets on both Labour and no overall majority,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams. “The betting patterns are very close to those we saw during the Presidential election when big punters were backing Hillary – whist our smaller customers were lumping on the Trump.”

UK General Election: 1/10 Conservative majority; 8/1 No overall majority; 12/1 Labour majority; 200/1 Liberal Democrats majority; 250/11 UKIP Majority
