Corbyn Departure This Year Keir Cut?

THE ODDS for Jeremy Corbyn to cease to be Labour leader during 2017 have been cut from 6/1 to 2/1 by William Hill as a gamble on Keir Starmer becoming the next Labour leader has seen him halve in odds from 8/1 to 4/1, becoming clear favourite.

'With two very lose-able by-elections looming up, and a three line whip being defied by many MPs, Jeremy Corbyn's leadership is again under pressure- and political punters seem to believe there is a real chance he may not see out the year in his current role' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.'Keir Starmer has been attracting some hefty support to take over from him.'
