Biggest Fight In History: Could McGregor Become Favourite By The Time The Fight Takes Place?

After the announcement of what looks set to be the biggest fight in history (4/11 with William Hill to break the 4.4m PPV sales record), the majority of punters are thinking that Connor McGregor may actually have more than a puncher’s chance in this one. Hills can report that on the day of the announcement, McGregor’s price of winning came in from 6/1 to 9/2 to win which is half of the 9/1 that he was in December of last year.

“We took nearly 20 bets on McGregor yesterday for every one we took on Mayweather and if the money keeps going the way it is, we could be in the bizarre situation of having McGregor favourite by the time the fight takes place, even though Floyd should realistically be a very short price to win,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Floyd Mayweather is in from 1/12 to 1/7 to win the bout with the draw offered at 40/1.

Bout betting: 1/7 Floyd Mayweather Jr; 9/2 Conor McGregor; 40/1 draw

Will the Mayweather/McGregor fight break the 4.4m PPV sales record: 4/6 yes; 11/10 no

Will either fighter be disqualified: 7/1
