Ballyandy and Clyne Battle For Hurdle Favouritism

Ballyandy and Clyne Battle For Hurdle Favouritism

Clyne is the latest horse to shorten significantly for the Betfair Hurdle from 13-2 in to 5-1 today. William H Bonney remains the most popular and is now 7-1 from 8-1 (9-1 at start of week). Ballyandy is solid at the front end – he’s 9-2 favourite from 11-2 on Monday.

“It’s a really strong handicap and punters have latched on to the potentially well-treated horses. Ballyandy and Clyne look most likely to battle it out for favouritism,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Native River faces Bristol De Mai in the Denman Chase and the pair are 10-11 and 6-4 respectively. Former World Hurdle winner More Of That is 13-2.

In the Game Spirit, William Hill’s 4-7 favourite Altior will face perhaps the stiffest test of his chasing career so far, up against 7-2 Fox Norton and 7-1 Traffic Fluide. Former Queen Mother Champion Chase winner Dodging Bullets is a huge price of 25-1, which shows how far he has slipped down the pecking order.
