50/1 Corbyn Maximum Wage To Be Introduced

WITH JEREMYCORBYN seeming to suggest the introduction of a national maximum wage, bookmakers Wlliam Hill are offering odds of 50/1 about that happening before the end of 2027.

'It is difficult to imagine any government actually introducing such a restriction, let alone how it would be implemented' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

**LABOUR will not have another majority government before 2031, say bookmakers William Hill, who are betting on when the (currently) Jeremy Corbyn-led Party will next form a majority administration, and make 2031 or later their 7/4 favourite, with 2020 or earlier a 9/2 chance; 2021-2025 a 9/4 shot; and 2026-2030 offered at 11/4.

'We cannot see the Labour Party winning an overall majority before 2031 at the earliest' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Mr Corbyn is 2/1 favourite with Hills to be the next leader of a major Party to stand down, with Paul Nuttall of Ukip 11/4, the same odds as Theresa May, while Nicola Sturgeon of the SNP is 6/1 and Tim Farron, Lib Dem leader, 7/1.

Corbyn is 2/1 to stand down as Labour leader this year; 6/1 next year; 9/1 in 2019; 2/1 in 2020 and 5/2 not until 2021 or later. Keir Starmer is currently 7/1 favourite with Hills to succeed Corbyn as leader, with Clive Lewis at 8/1; David Miliband and John McDonnell both 10/1 shots.

**William Hill offer 8/11 that Article 50 will NOT be triggered before the end of March, 2017, Even money that it will.

**With Nicola Sturgeon ruling out a 2017 Scottish Independence Referendum, Hills offer 10/11 that there will be one before the end of 2020, and 1/3 that there will be one before the end of 2024. They also offer 8/11 that Scotland will vote in favour of Independence by the end of 2024, Even money not to do so.
