Zac's The Way To Do It In Richmond, Say Punters

SEVENTY NINE PER CENT of all the money gambled on the outcome of the Richmond Park by-election has been bet on Zac Goldsmith winning the seat, say bookmakers William Hill, who make the former Tory MP 4/11 favourite (73% chance). He has also attracted 54% of all the individual bets placed. Hills offer 50/1 that Goldsmith will return to the Tory fold and become the Party's next Leader.

Hills make the Lib-Dems 2/1 second favourites to take the seat - but they have attracted only 18% of all the money bet and 35% of the individual bets.

'After our losing markets for Brexit and Trump, it looks like we're in for a hat-trick of poundings by political punters' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
