Yala Enki Claims William Hill Lanzarote Glory

Saturday proved to be an exciting day in which Yala Enki claimed the William Hill Lanzarote Hurdle, for trainer Venetia Williams and young jockey Charlie Deutsch.

The Kempton Park feature was a second win for the trainer, following Limerick Boy’s success over two miles in 2004, before the race was switched to a 2m5f contest.

“Yala Enki appears to be on an upward curve since joining Venetia Williams from France and he is a worthy winner of one of the toughest handicap hurdles of the season,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
