X Factor: Gifty Gaffe Could See Viewers Turning Off In Their Droves

There was widespread shock after Gifty Louise was booted off the X Factor and William Hill think that a boycott of the show could take place next weekend on the back of it. The bookies are offering 1/2 that the peak viewers of X Factor next weekend is lower than this (6.5m).

A number of acts were targeted online by Gifty fans and next week it looks as though the group who survived at her expense, Four of Diamonds could be on their way home next week. They are the 7/4 favourites to leave with Saara Aalto 9/4 and Ryan Lawrie 5/2.

“Gifty’s departure has been perhaps the biggest shock of the series so far and the decision to send her home has made a number of people very angry,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “There could well be repercussions with people turning off next week,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Matt Terry is the 4/6 favourite to win the show with Emily Middlemas 10/3 and 5 After Midnight 8/1.
