UKIP Leadership Race

STEVEN WOOLFE is still favourite with bookmakers William Hill to succeed Diane James as the next elected leader of UKIP, who quote him at odds of 8/11 (57% chance)- although prior to the recent incident which resulted in his hospitalisation he had been as short as 1/8 (88%) favourite.

Hills make Suzanne Evans the 3/1 second favourite, with  Paul Nuttall at 4/1 and current leader Nigel Farage 14/1.

'The Party is clearly riven by the disagreements between different factions and the in-fighting is bound to affect the leadership campaign' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.'But  virtually all the serious money so far staked has been for Mr Woolfe.'

***William Hill have reactivated all bets struck on the last Ukip leadership contest, after it became apparent that Diane James had never officially taken up the leadership.
