Will Jo Be Brand New Bake Off Host? Will Mel And Sue Stay? 8/1 For It To Stay On BBC

Jo Brand is the 6/1 favourite to become host of the Great British Bake Off after Mel and Sue announced their intentions to step down after this series. According to William Hill, Jennifer Saunders is an 8/1 shot, with Sarah Millican 12/1. Other names in the frame include Ed Byrne and Davina McCall at 16/1 and the trio of Omid Djalili, Emma Willis and Clare Balding at 20/1.

"It is very early to be speculating who will take over from Mel and Sue especially given that they are only 5/1 to perform a u-turn and return next time out," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. "But there will no doubt be a clamour from the nations top presenters to bag the hottest ticket in town."

It is just 8/1 for a new series of the show to return on the BBC.

"Channel 4 are buying a format but without the people who made it great it risks being little more than your average cooking shows," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. "There is every chance it will return to the BBC next summer."
