Will Greens And Blues See Red In £7m Match-Up At Celtic Park

Celtic are the odds on favourites to win this weekend’s Old Firm match with William Hill making the home side 8/13 to emerge with three points. Rangers are 9/2 and the draw is 3/1.

The match is set to be the year’s biggest betting match north of the border with up to £7m set to be staked on the game across the gambling industry. Coupled with the Manchester derby, which also kicks off early on Saturday, they could generate £17m worth of turnover.

Much has been said in recent weeks between the two captains, Scott Brown and Joey Barton, and  it is 9/2 that either player is sent off during the game.

“Celtic are comfortable favourites to win this match but everyone will have an opinion and because of this, turnover is set to go through the roof,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
