United’s Title Odds Shortened After Mourinho Announcement

Following the news that Jose Mourinho is to take over as Manchester United manager from the start of next season, William Hill have trimmed the price of the Reds winning the Premier League next season from 7/1 to 6/1 although they remain behind the three favourites of Manchester City at 7/4 and both Arsenal and Chelsea at 9/2.

“Manchester United’s odds of winning the Premier League have been trimmed accordingly on the back of this latest news and they now have to be considered serious contenders for the title,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
