Trump-Clinton Odds Go Into Reverse

REGARDED as almost a betting 'sure thing' just days ago, the odds of a Hillary Clinton versus Donald Trump showdown to decide the outcome of the race to the White House is suddenly looking far less likely, say bookmakers William Hill – who had been offering odds of 1/3 (75% chance) (stake 3 for profit of 1) about the two taking on each other, just a week ago, but now quote 8/11 (58%) (stake 11 for profit of 8) that this will be the final pairing.

'The odds about Donald Trump becoming the Republican candidate have doubled from 1/4 (80%) (stake 4 for profit 1) to 4/7 (64%) (stake 7 for profit of 4), and Hillary Clinton's likewise to be the Democrat choice, from 1/25 (stake 25 for profit of 1) to 1/12 (stake 12 for profit of 1) as both of their campaigns seem to be wobbling' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill still make Hillary Clinton favourite, at 4/11, (73%) to become President, with Donald Trump now out from 3/1 to 4/1 (20%).

Hills, who have shortened their odds that the Republican candidate will be decided at a brokered covention from 5/4 to 6/5, are betting on who will be the two chosen candidates, and offer 8/11 Clinton-Trump; 16/5 Clinton-Cruz; 11/2 Clinton-Kasich; 12/1 Sanders-Trump; 22/1 Clinton-Ryan; 33/1 Sanders-Cruz; 50/1 Sanders-Kasich; 80/1 Clinton-Romney; 150/1 Sanders-Ryan; 250/1 Sanders-Romney. Others on request.
