Trump 10/1 To Quit

BOOKMAKERS William Hill are offering odds of 10/1 (9%) that Donald Trump will not be the Republican nominee on the ballot papers when Americans vote for their new President – however, they make it a 1/33 chance (97%) that he will stand.

'Persistent rumours are circulating that Trump will pull out of the race, but we think that is very unlikely' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Hills currently make Hillary Clinton 4/11(73%) favourite to win the race to the White House, with Trump a 21/10 (33%) shot.

William Hill say that 39% of all the bets they have taken on the outcome of the US Election have been for Trump, with just 22% for Clinton, while 53% of total stakes are for him, with 38% for her. 'Mr Trump is certainly the favoured choice of political punters, but the betting still suggests victory for Clinton' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
