Tizzard Does It Again With Hennessy Win

Colin Tizzard produced another big Saturday winner by landing the Hennessy Gold Cup with Native River. William Hill immediately slashed his odds of winning the Trainers’ Championship to 4-1 from 6-1. He started the season at 25-1 for the title.

Native River is now 6-1 favourite with William Hill (from 16-1) for the Welsh Grand National and 14-1 from 33-1 with Hills for the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

“Colin Tizzard enhances his chances for the Trainers’ Championship on a weekly basis and Paul Nicholls must be starting to worry about his own hopes,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
