Thyestes: Bally Favourite But Money For Mala

Ballycasey is the 6-1 favourite with William Hill for Thursday’s Goffs Thyestes Handicap Chase and is popular with punters at the front of the market.

However, Mala Beach is the best-backed horse with William Hill. Gordon Elliott appears confident in Mala Beach and he could expose a potentially lenient chase mark based on his hurdles form.

“Mala Beach is potentially well-treated and there’s a weight of money behind him to win the Thyestes,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
