Thistlecrack Shortens For 2017 Gold Cup

Thistlecrack has shortened to 10-1 from 12-1 for the 2017 Gold Cup after breezing to victory in the World Hurdle at Cheltenham.

The Colin Tizzard-trained winner was one of the easiest victors of the week and now the sights may be set for fences.

“Thistlecrack is a strong stayer and should he jump fences, he would clearly be one to consider for the 2017 Gold Cup,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
