Theresa May Struggle To Meet Her Own Deadline

WITH THERESA MAY reported to be determined to push ahead with triggering Article 50 before the end of March 2017, bookmakers William Hill are sceptical that she will be successful in that aim - and quote 11/10 (47% chance) about her managing to do so.

Hills believe it is an odds-on shot at 4/6 that she will not be able to reach her own target. 'Political punters - who have become increasingly accurate with their bets over the last year or so, are not convinced that Mrs May will manage to trigger Article 50 within her own timeframe' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Nonetheless Hills make 2019 their 1/2 favourite (66%) to be the year in which Brexit finally becomes official, with 2020 or later a 9/4 chance and 2018 or earlier offered at 6/1.

With Theresa May's long term future as Prime Minister linked to the progress of Brexit William Hill are offering 4/9 (69%) that she will still be in that role on December 31, 2020 - and 13/8 that she will not.
