Theatre Guide Edges Handicap Thriller

Theatre Guide got up in the shadow of the post to deny Perfect Candidate in the Unicoin Group Handicap Chase. It’s yet another big race winner for this season’s star trainer Colin Tizzard.

William Hill cut Theatre Guide to 20-1 from 25-1 for the Welsh National, but it is worth bearing in mind that the trainer also has the 6-1 favourite Native River.

It strengthens Tizzard’s claims for the trainers’ title and he is now 4-1 from 6-1 a fortnight ago to win the Championship. Paul Nicholls remains 1-6 favourite.
