The Revenant Moves Into Pole Position For Best Picture With A Fortnight To Go

After winning Best Picture at the BAFTAs, The Revenant has inched ahead in the betting for Best Picture at the Oscars. In what has been billed as the closest Best Picture race in years, there are three films in contention according to William Hill. The Revenant is slightly odds on at 5/6 to win the award with Spotlight 13/8 second favourite and The Big Short 10/3.

“The three movies at the top of the betting have all won at least one Best Picture this Awards season but with the final furlong in sight, we think that The Revenant has just moved into the lead,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
