The New One 10-1 To Win Any 2017 Festival Race

Plenty of the horses at Saturday’s Cheltenham meeting will be back for the Festival in March and William Hill have made a host of antepost changes.

Defi Du Seuil is 8-1 from 12-1 with William Hill for the Triumph Hurdle after a hard fought win in the opening trial of the day. Owner JP McManus also has the 7-1 favourite Landofhopeandglory in the same market.

Wholestone is 14-1 from 25-1 for the Albert Bartlett after he prevailed in the Grade 2 novice hurdle of the day.

The New One gave Nigel Twiston-Davies a few things to think about after winning the International Hurdle. The plan had been to go chasing, but after a good win in tough conditions which may not have been ideal, he may head down the Champion Hurdle route. William Hill offer 20-1 for the Champion Hurdle, but a safer bet might be the 10-1 (from 12-1) for The New One to win any race at the 2017 Festival.

“The New One could head chasing now but the Champion Hurdle may be on the radar again. For fans of the horse who are unsure of the route he will take, you can back him to win any race at the 2017 Festival at 10-1,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Meanwhile, over at Doncaster Present Man won the December Novices’ Chase, with odds-on favourite O O Seven well beaten. Present Man is now installed by Hills at 20-1 for the RSA Chase, with O O Seven out to 25-1 from 16-1 for the same race.
