Sir Des Champs Smashed For National

Punters are backing a familiar pairing for the Grand National, with devilish duo Ruby Walsh and Willie Mullins the subject of a significant plunge following the final declarations.

William Hill have slashed Sir Des Champs, the mount of Walsh and trained by Mullins, to 20-1 from 50-1.

“Punters are banking on Ruby and Willie to deliver the goods with Sir Des Champs, but Many Clouds is still the one we want to dodge,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
