Sceaux Scores At Sandown

Un de Sceaux justified Willie Mullins’ faith by winning the Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown, holding off a good challenge from Sire De Grugy.

William Hill quote the winner at 6-1 from 8-1 for the Queen Mother Champion Chase, with only stablemate Douvan ahead in the betting as the 8-11 favourite.

Sire De Grugy is 12-1 from 16-1 after putting in another big effort at Sandown, but ultimately coming up just short.

“If you backed Un De Sceaux at 5-1 earlier in the week, then you’ll be delighted that Douvan wasn’t there to stop the party,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke. “It just goes to show that Willie Mullins is the master of placing his horses.”
