Rodgers 11/4 To Leave Celtic Before End Of Season After One Of Biggest Upsets Ever!

It is safe to say that Brendan Rodgers’ tenure as manager of Celtic did not get off to the best of starts and William Hill are offering 11/4 that his managerial tenure continues in much the same vein and he fails to see out this season as boss at Parkhead.

“It was anything but a perfect start for Brendan Rodgers at Celtic however, we think that things can only get better and he is a short price to still be in charge at the end of the season,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “His first game in charge has been one of the biggest upsets in footballing history.

On Tuesday night, Celtic were defeated 1-0 by 20/1 shots Lincoln Red Imps in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League – the biggest football upset since Bradford (25/1) defeated Chelsea (1/12) in the FA Cup fourth round in 2015. The Bhoys kicked off the match as 1/10 favourites to win. The biggest bet placed on the Imps at William Hill was £40 at 16/1. Certainly one punter who backed Celtic to the tune of £4000 will have been less than enamoured with Brendan Rodgers.

Despite the shock defeat, Celtic are still 1/10 favourites to qualify ahead of the Imps at 11/2.
