Punters Prefer Girls! And Frankie...

The Girls team of Josephine Gordon, Emma-Jayne Wilson and Hayley Turner are the best-backed team with William Hill ahead of the Shergar Cup.

“The Girls are attracting the most bets to win the Shergar Cup, but our old nemesis Frankie Dettori is the jockey being backed for the Silver Saddle,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

The Girls are 9-4 second-favourites to win the Shergar Cup, with Europe heading the betting at 7-4. GB & Ireland are 3-1 with Hills, while Rest Of The World are 4-1.

Pierre-Charles Boudot is favourite to be leading jockey and is 4-1 to claim the Silver Saddle, with Frankie Dettori 5-1 to win the honours.

Josephine Gordon is the leading hope for the Girls at 11-2, while Kenichi Ikezoe is the shortest odds (8-1) for any Rest Of The World jockey.
