Punters Hoping For Gold And Riches

Punters are backing Road To Riches to win the Galway Plate, while Galileo Gold is favourite to win the Sussex Stakes with William Hill on Wednesday.

“Road To Riches is the worst result for us in the Galway Plate and he’s easily the best-backed horse. We’ve seen some support for Sizing Platinum and Home Farm at longer odds,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Road To Riches is 9-2 favourite, with Sizing Platinum shortening to 20-1 from 25-1 and Home Farm 25-1 from 33-1.

“Punters are seeing the Sussex Stakes as a match between Galileo Gold and The Gurkha and there’s not much separating them in price. It’s too close to call who will start favourite as punters love both Frankie Dettori and Ryan Moore,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

Galileo Gold is 15-8 favourite with William Hill while The Gurkha is 2-1 second-favourite.
