Plucky Polly Scores At Sandown

A gritty performance from Polly Peachum at Sandown was enough to hold on by a head to land the Listed Mares’ Hurdle. She is now 12-1 from 14-1 with William Hill to win the OLBG Mares’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

However, William Hill also cut Annie Power to Even-Money from 5-4, as more potential contenders failed to impress.

“Polly has run a peach of a race, but Annie is still the apple of our eye in the Mares’ market,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
