Owen Smith Labour Leader Odds Cut After Court Of Appeal Decision

AFTER THE Court of Appeal ruled that Labour was within its rights to block new members from voting in the Leadership contest, bookmakers William Hill have cut Owen Smith's odds, which were 8/1 (11% chance), to 6/1(14% chance) - but still make Jeremy Corbyn hot favourite to win, albeit lengthened from a shortest 1/20 (95%)  to 1/12 (92%).

'The William Hill client who staked £60,000 on Mr Corbyn earlier in the week when he was 1/16 for a profit of £3750 may be a little miffed that he could now have 1/12, which would produce a £5000 profit if he wins' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe, 'But the current incumbent remains strongly fancied to hold on to his role- and he is 5/1 favourite to be the next Prime Minister.'

TO WIN LABOUR LEADER CONTEST.....1/12 Corbyn; 6/1 Smith.
