Odds Slashed On FIFA Election NOT Taking Place

William Hill have cut the odds of the FIFA Presidential election being postponed amidst reports that Prince Ali bin al Hussein has declared reservations about the way in which the vote will take place. Offered at 11/2 last week, the election is now just 4/1 to fail to take place on Friday.

Whenever it does take place, William Hill make Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al Khalifa the 8/15 favourite to win ahead of Gianni Infantino at 6/4.

“Prince Ali was close to winning power last time out, however, at 8/1 he is now an outsider and it looks as though he is doing everything he can to prevent the two frontrunners going head to head,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

Next permanent FIFA President: 8/15 Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al Khalifa; 6/4 Gianni Infantino; 8/1 Prince Ali bin al Hussein; 66/1 Jerome Champagne; 66/1 Tokyo Sexwale
