O’Leary Taking The Michael? Mullins Drifts For Title

Willie Mullins has been dealt a severe blow as Gigginstown owner Michael O’Leary will remove 60 horses from the trainer’s yard.

William Hill reacted to the news by pushing Mullins out to 10-3 from 6-4 for the UK National Hunt Trainers’ Championship.

Paul Nicholls has shortened as a result to 1-3 from 4-5. Nicky Henderson has also been cut to 6-1 from 9-1.

“If you’re a punter or a bookmaker, you know that this is a huge blow for Willie’s title chances,” said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.

“Michael O’Leary has made millions on charging added extras, but when the shoe is on the other foot, he won’t cough up.”
