Nuttal In For Long Haul?

BOOKMAKERS William Hill believe new Ukip leader Paul Nuttall will stay around for some time and offer odds of 4/11(73% chance) that it will be 2018 or later when he ceases to occupy that role, 16/1 that he doesn't see out this year as leader, and 2/1 that he leaves the post in 2017.

'After the recent turbulence in Ukip the Party will be hoping that Mr Nuttall will steady the ship for the Party' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

But William Hill make Ukip odds-on at 10/11 to end up with no seats at all at the next General Election; 13/8 to take one; and 7/2 to emerge with two or more.

Meanwhile, former Ukip leader Nigel Farage is 5/2 with Hills to receive a Peerage before 2020, 2/7 not to.
