Nearly Half Of All Eurovision Bets Are For Russia

Russia head into the semi-finals of tonight’s Eurovision as not just red-hot favourites to win the qualifier (just 1/4) but also as the clear favourites to win the whole thing at 6/5.

“Over 40% of all bets have been for Russia so we fully expect them to cruise the semi tonight and it appears that many of our customers think that they are certainties to lift the trophy at the weekend,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.

The UK’s odds have fluctuated in recent days with the odds tumbling from 50/1 to 25/1 on Saturday before being pushed out to 33/1 and they have now been cut again to 25/1.
